In May 2015, our church became involved in planting a new church when we adopted Johnny Dalisay as a church planter. Johnny and his wife Emie are starting a new church among the Filipino community in the Bathurst and Steeles area. It is intended that this new church will eventually become a multicultural congregation.

Vision:

We see a vibrant reproducing church of small groups with at least 50 members who are contributing to the transformation of their communities by June 2018.

Regular weekly activities:

Free guitar lessons for children

Practice with worship team

Bible Study – includes singing time, Bible discussion, children’s Bible class, Lord’s Supper every first Saturday of the month.

Dinner together

A Second Bible Study every other Thursday at a condominium in Antibes area has been opened.

Monthly activities:

Celebration of birthdays and anniversaries held at the TBC fellowship hall on the third or fourth Saturday of the month – includes singing time, games, a devotional message from the Word and Dinner together

During summer months, celebrations are held at the park

Special activities:

Valentines, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year are celebrated with a gathering in a home, our apartment or in a park

Field trips like visits to Big Apple, Niagara Falls, fruit picking

We participate in the Operation Christmas Child shoe box for children of Samaritan’s Purse.

We visit several homes before Christmas to sing Christmas carols to the family and to share with them the story of Christmas. We also give each family a basket of fruits and biscuits.
