Since 1968, Thornhill Baptist Church has participated in an annual Ecumenical Lenten Series of services organized by the Thornhill Ministerial Association. The services take place on Sunday afternoons during Lent, and they are held in the various churches of the Ministerial. Past themes for the series include "Loving God, Loving Neighbour"; "Living Lent Through the Psalms"; and "Encountering God".

Each year the final service of the series includes a joint choir made up of choir members from all the churches of the Ministerial.
